Coast Guard G Suite provides two types of Google Drive, including:
Personal Google Drive
This is your personal Google Drive, you can create files, directories and choose to share these with members of Coast Guard or externally. This functions much the same as Personal Google Drive available with G Mail.
Shared Drives
Shared drives can be thought of like traditional shared network drives you may have experienced on corporate scenarios. National IT Automatically create and maintain a range of shared drives, specifically every member will have a flotilla shared drive with all members, the flotilla executive and squadron executives respectively will also have shared drives.
The shared drives are great for sharing files with groups, particularly with regards to handovers as positions change.
